Daniela Gonzalez is an interdisciplinary artist currently working in the mediums of digital graphic arts and photography in Boston, MA. She was born in the Dominican Republic and has Cuban roots on her fathers side of the family. Her household is, for the most part, monolingual in Spanish and resides at a long distance, pushing her to think deeply and intentionally about her communication with family and those around her; she explores these themes in her work.

Communication and connection are central themes in Daniela’s work and the way in which technology mediated interactions change the dynamic of conversations and relationships is something that deeply interests her. She mainly investigates these interactions digitally and is now focused on manifesting the extensiveness of the digital world physically, while analyzing how interactions differ in both “worlds.”
