These self-portraits were taken at midnight in my very first hours of being 18.
Self-portraits force me to look at myself, to be present and acknowledge every little feature on my face. They help me see how much I’ve grown physically and even emotionally if I stare long enough seeing how what I’ve gone through reflects on my face and how it pours out onto the exterior.
There are two mirrors in this image, each showing me a different side of myself, and I'm sure that over the years I’ll meet even more sides of myself, but for now, I'm 18
